OUR HISTORY

Coastal Computer Consulting, Inc. has been in business since October 1996, literally starting out in the basement bedroom of one of the owners. Within six months we were staffing two full-time employees in office space in downtown Machias.

In 1999, after months of planning, we launched a new and better dialup Internet service: Maineline.net. We currently cover all of Washington and Hancok counties and we continue to grow at an astounding rate. Sales for 2002 showed a 700% increase over 2001 and we expect a similar increase in 2003.

With expansion to statewide coverage in our very near future, Maineline.net is the cornerstone of our business and dialup Internet has never been faster!

Maineline.net is one of very few locally-operated Internet service providers in Maine, and the only local provider in Washington County. Some Internet providers claim to be local and, in some rare cases may even have local facilities, but nearly all of our competitors are owned by large comglomerates out of state, and in some cases, out of the country.

Maineline.net is locally-owned and operated. Our partners live and work in Maine and we have always lived here and always will. We provide consistent and reliable dialup Internet services through our local facilities to our friends and neighbors for a price that is both fair and competitive. We provide high-tech jobs to our community and we always choose local people first when hiring. In so doing, we keep our earnings local and promote growth in Maine, rather than sending your money out of the state.
